Kurtis Eugene Warner (born June 22, 1971) is a former American football quarterback. He plays for three teams National Football League (NFL): St. Louis Rams, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals. He was originally signed by Green Bay Packers as a free agent that was not repealed in 1994 after playing college football in Northern Iowa. Warner was later named the best NFL player of all time, following a 12-year career that is considered one of the greatest stories in NFL history. Warner was sworn in as Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017, and is the only person sworn in as Pro Football Hall of Fame and Arena Football of Fame Arena.
Warner first reaches star while playing for St. Louis Rams from 1998 to 2003, where he won the NFL MVP award in 1999 and 2001 as well as the Super Bowl MVP award at Super Bowl XXXIV when he and Rams defeated the Tennessee Titans. He leads the 2008 Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl XLIII (the first place of the Super Bowl shelter), and has three of the top five highest-gaming singles passing superficial totals in Super Bowl history. Warner currently holds the tenth highest career rating of all time (93.7), and the fourth highest career completion percentage in NFL history with 65.5%.
In 13 career playoff games, Warner was ranked 5th all-time in settlement percentage (66.5%), 10 in meters per business (8.55), and tenth place (102.8) He announced his retirement after the end of the season 2009.

Born in Burlington, Iowa, Warner played football at Regis High School in Cedar Rapids, graduating in 1989. Professional career
Green Bay Packers
After a career at college, Warner went on the list at the 1994 NFL Draft. He was invited to try the Green Bay Packers training camp in 1994, but was released before the regular season began; Warner competed for a place against Brett Favre, Mark Brunell, and former Heisman Ty Detmer Cup winner. While Warner along with the Packers, head coach is Mike Holmgren; the midfielder's coach is Steve Mariucci; and Andy Reid is an offensive assistant. After Warner was released, Mariucci told him that he knew Warner had great potential but was not ready to become an NFL quarterback.
Once released, Warner stores a shelf at Hy-Vee's grocery store in Cedar Falls for $ 5.50 an hour. Warner often noted this as a starting point when it narrated his rise to NFL stars in 1999. He also cited increased dedication to Christianity that occurred around 1997. Warner also returned to Northern Iowa and worked as an assistant graduate trainer with a football team, while still hoping to get another experiment with the NFL team.
Iowa Barnstormers
With no NFL team willing to give it a chance, Warner switched to Arena Football League (AFL) in 1995, and signed a contract with Iowa Barnstormers. He was appointed to the AFL All-Arena First team in 1996 and 1997 after he led Barnstormers to an ArenaBowl appearance in both seasons. Warner's performance was so impressive that he was then crowned into twelve of the 20 Best Football Arena Players of all time.
Prior to the 1997 AFL season, Warner requested and got an experiment with the Chicago Bears, but injury to the throwing elbow caused by continuous spider bites during the honeymoon prevented him from attending.
In 2000, after the NFL Breaker season, the AFL used its new fame for the first widely available video game name, Kurt Warner Unleashed Football Arena . On August 12, 2011, he was named as the person included in the Football Arena in the Hall of Fame.
St. Louis Rams
In December 1997 after the St. Louis Rams ended, Warner signed a futures contract with the team. In February 1998, he was allocated to the NFL Europe to play for the Amsterdam Admirals, where he would lead the league in goals and pass the yard. His current reserve was the Carolina Panther quarterback, Jake Delhomme, another wealthy quarterback story rich. Back in the United States, Warner spent the 1998 season as third St Louis midfielder behind Tony Banks and Steve Bono. He ended his season finishing just 4 out of 11 bait experiments for 39 yards and a 47.2 QB rating.
season 1999
Prior to the 1999 free agency period, Rams chose Warner to be one of five unprotected players in the 1999 NFL Expansion Draft. Warner was not chosen by the Cleveland Browns, who voted for no Rams and his only quarterback choice was Scott Milanovich.
Rams let Bono go with a free agent and sign Trent Green to become a starter. The banks traded into the Ravens, and Warner now found himself second on the in-depth chart. After Green tore his ACL in a pre-season game, Rams coach Dick Vermeil named Warner as a Rams starter. In an emotional press conference, Vermeil - who did not see Warner working with the first string attack - said, "We're going to deploy around Kurt Warner, and we'll play good football." With the support of Marshall Faulk's re-run and wide receiver Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Az-Zahir Hakim and Ricky Proehl, Warner united one of the top seasons by quarterbacks in NFL history, throwing for 4,353 yards with 41 goals and 65,1%. The Rams raid, run by offensive coordinator Mike Martz, was nicknamed "The Greatest Show on Turf" and was listed first in a series of three consecutive 500 points in a row, an NFL record.
Warner threw three goals in each of his first three NFLs; he is the only NFL quarterback in history to achieve that feat. Warner drew more attention in this fourth Rams game of the season, a home game against the San Francisco 49ers (who has been the Western division NFC champion for 12 of 13 previous seasons). The Rams had lost their last 17 meetings with the 49ers, but Warner went on to throw a touchdown pass on each of Rams' first three of the game, and four first-half goals alone, to push the Rams to 28- 10 leading part-time on the way to victory 42-20. Warner finished the game with five touchdowns, giving him 14 of four games and a 4-0 Rams record. Warner's escape from a career in anonymity is so unexpected that Sports Illustrated shows him on the cover of October 18th titled "Who Is This Person?" He was named 1999 NFL MVP at the end of the season to lead the Rams to their first playoff spot since 1989 (when they were still in Los Angeles) and their first division title since 1985.
In the NFL playoffs, Warner finally led the Rams to victory in Super Bowl XXXIV against Tennessee Titans. In the game, he threw for two goals and then the Super Bowl-record 414 passing yards, including a 73-yard touchdown to Isaac Bruce when the match tied up with more than two minutes to play, which proved to be the winner of the match. Warner also set the Super Bowl record by trying 45 bait without one interception. For his performance, Warner was awarded the Super Bowl MVP award.
season 2000
On February 7, Warner signed a seven-year contract worth $ 47 million. He started the 2000 season where he left off in his 1999 record season, collecting 300 yards or more in each of his first six matches (tying Steve Young's record) and scoring 19 goals in the stretch. Warner broke his arm and missed the middle of the season, but Trent Green filled with abilities and the Warner/Green duo led the Rams to the highest team past the total page in NFL history, with 5,232 net yards. The total gross of Warner and Green's gross gross is 5,492. Unlike the previous seasons, however, Warner's turnover rate increased dramatically in 2000, as he threw an interception in 5.2% of his efforts (compared to just 2.6% in 1999). Despite being one of the most prolific offensive years by the NFL team, the Rams only won ten games and lost the wild card round to the New Orleans Saints. In response to a disappointing season, the Rams family slashed nine of their eleven defensive starters during the offseason, and Trent Green was sold to Kansas City Chiefs.
season 2001
Warner quickly returned to the form of MVP in 2001. Despite his performance trailing behind his appearance in 1999, he scored 36 goals through touchdown and 4,830 passing yards, and another high-grade league in passer rating (101.4). Warner's tendency for turnovers swept from 2000, as he threw 22 high career interceptions (despite completing a career-high 68.7% of his operations), but he still led "The Greatest Show on Turf" to his third consecutive 6-0 start ( became the first NFL team to do so, then equaled by the Indianapolis Colts 2005-2007), the best NFL-14-2 record, and appearance at Super Bowl XXXVI. Warner is also named NFL MVP for the second time in three seasons, giving Rams their third winner in a few years (ran back Marshall Faulk to win in 2000).
In Super Bowl XXXVI, Warner threw for 365 yards (hence the second highest, now the sixth highest number in Super Bowl history) and touchdowns that pass along with a hurried touchdown, but his rhythm is interrupted by New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick's defensive game plan and he threw two expensive interceptions that helped stak the heavy-underdog Patriot to lead two goals. After falling back into the 17-3 Patriots, though, the Rams rallied to tie the game at the end of the fourth quarter on a quarter-yard quarterback as Warner sneaked a touchdown run and passed a 26-yard touchdown from Warner to Ricky Proehl. The game ended in a 20-17 loss to Warner and Rams when Patriot kicker Adam Vinatieri kicked a field goal that won the game as time expired, giving the Patriots the first of three Super Bowl wins in four years.
season 2002-2003
Warner started the 2002 season as a Rams starter, but he played poorly, throwing seven interceptions against just one touchdown as the team went 0-3. In the fourth Rams game, this one against the Dallas Cowboys, Warner broke his finger in throwing hands. Warner is trying to come back again this season, but his injury allows him to play two more matches (both lost). Unlike his career rating of 103.0 entering the season, Warner recorded a very small rating of 67.4 in 2002. The following season, Warner was replaced as an Rams' starting quarterback for good after groping six times in the team's opening game against New York. York Giants. Warner later revealed that he had previously broken his hand and that it had not fully healed, making it harder to grasp the ball. His successor as an early Rams quarterback, Marc Bulger (another relatively unknown quarterback out of college), stepped into the foul and played quite well while substituting Warner. The Rams released Warner on 1 June 2004 with three years remaining on his contract.
Giants New York
Two days after he was released from the Rams, he signed a $ 3 million contract with the New York Giants, with a second-year player option worth $ 6 million. Warner started the 2004 season as an early Giants midfielder, winning five of his first seven games, but after two consecutive defeats, Eli Manning's highly praised rookie quarterback was given an early job. The Giants have a 5-4 winning record at the time of Warner benching, ending in 6-10th overall (only 1-6 under Manning). After the season, Warner chooses to cancel the second year of his contract, and thus becomes a free agent.
Arizona Cardinals
season 2005
In early 2005, Warner signed a one-year, $ 4-million contract with Arizona Cardinals, and was quickly named starter by coach Dennis Green. Warner posted three relatively unremarkable performances before injuring his groin and was replaced by former starter Josh McCown. McCown performed pretty well in two games, Warner misses that McCown remains a starter.
After McCown struggled in two straight games, Green put Warner back into the starting line-up. After playing well in two consecutive defeats (past a total of nearly 700 yards), Warner beat his former team, Rams, with a score of 38-28. He graduated for 285 yards and three goals while posting a 115.9 quarterback rating. Warner's season ends at week 15 when he tears his MCL.
Warner signed a new three-year extension with The Cardinals on February 14, 2006. The deal has a base salary of $ 18 million and, with performance incentives, could be worth as much as $ 24 million.
2006 season
In Week 1 of the 2006 NFL season, Warner won the Offensive NFC Off of the Week award, throwing for 301 yards and three goals in a victory over San Francisco. Two weeks later, Warner passed 20,000 yards past the milestone in the 76th game, the second fastest of any player in NFL history (Warner achieves one more game than it takes Dan Marino record holder).
After three games below the 2-4 average, Warner was replaced by quarterback by rookie Matt Leinart in the fourth quarter of the 4th week. Then-coach Dennis Green stated that Warner would be the reserve quarterback for the rest of the season. At the 16th week, Leinart suffered a shoulder injury against the 49ers, forcing Warner to see his first action since the fourth week. Warner is well filled, as he is able to survive for Cardinals victory. At the 17th week of the San Diego Chargers, Warner started again in place of injured Leinart, throwing for 365 yards (who led the NFL for that week) and touchdown, although Chargers were able to hold on for a 27-20 win.
2007 season
Leinart was given early quarterback work at the start of the 2007 season. However, in the third game of the season, against the Baltimore Ravens, Warner came off the bench to free the ineffective Leinart during the 4th quarter with the Ravens leading 23-6 at the start of the period. Warner led a great comeback, as he finished 15 of 20 passes for 258 yards and 2 goals. It brought Arizona to a draw (23-23), though Arizona will continue to lose the game 26-23 after Baltimore kicked a second-last field goal.
On September 30, 2007, during a four-week game against Pittsburgh Steelers, Warner relieved Leica back, following another ineffectual start. Warner finished with 14 finishing 21 attempts for 132 yards with one touchdown pass and no interceptions, while Leinart re-entered the game in the 4th quarter and led the Cardinals to their final touchdown. After Leinart was placed in an injured reserve, Warner called a starter for the rest of the 2007 season.
Warner graduated for a 484-yard career high against the 49ers in a 37-31 loss on 25 November, but has missed the end zone in overtime found by Tully Banta-Cain, and Cardinals lost. However, Warner's next week improved; and the Cardinals triumphed over the Browns who took the Cardinals 6-6 and made them chase the NFC Wild Card playground. Warner finished the 2007 season with 27 goals, just one of Cardinals' franchise records. Warner's performance earned him a $ 1 million bonus for the year, and he fell to just 90.0 passenger ratings, which would give him an additional $ 500,000.
2008 season
Leinart called the Cardinals' early quarterback into the 2008 season, but Ken Whisenhunt stated that it would be possible for Warner to become a starter before the week of one of the regular seasons. Indeed, Warner was named the starter on August 30, 2008. That season, Warner had 4.583 meters, 30 goals, and a settlement percentage of 67.1%. He was the top-ranked passer in the National Football Conference for the third time, and only followed Philip Rivers and Chad Pennington of the AFC in an NFL passer rating for the season. Warner also received FedEx Air Player from the Sunday award for his performance for weeks 9 and 11 of the season.
On December 7, 2008, Warner led the Cardinals to a 34-10 win over his former team, Rams, securing for the Cardinals NFC Western Division title and their first playoff spot since 1998. It was the Cardinals first division title since 1975 and the third post-merger era. As a result, the Cardinals will only play their second home playoff game, as they have never played a home playoff game in Arizona despite winning two division titles. On December 16, 2008, Warner was appointed as the initial quarterback for the NFC team at Pro Bowl 2009.
postseason 2008
On January 3, 2009, Warner led the Cardinals in their win over Atlanta Falcons 30-24 at home in the first round of the playoffs. During Warner's game went 19 to 32 passes, the percentage of completion was 59.4%, to 271 yards. He threw two goals and one interception. This victory represents the first time the Cardinals won a post-season home game since the 1947 NFL Championship Game.
On January 10, Warner helped the Cardinals defeat the Carolina Panthers 33-13 in Charlotte, North Carolina in the second round of the playoffs. During Warner's game go 21 for 32 passes, for 220 meters, the completion percentage is 65.6%, with two goals and one interception. This victory was the first time the Cardinals won a game on the East Coast during the 2008 season, having lost matches to the Panthers, the Washington Redskins, the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Jets, and the New England Patriots.
On January 18, Warner threw for 279 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions against the Philadelphia Eagles to lead the Cardinals to their first Super Bowl appearance in history. Warner is one of three quarterbacks that makes the Super Bowl start with two different teams (others are Craig Morton [1970: Dallas Cowboys and 1977: Denver Broncos] and Peyton Manning [2006 & amp; 2009: Indianapolis Colts and 2013 & amp; ; 2015: Denver Broncos]). Warner also became the third quarterback in NFL history to win a conference championship with two different teams (following Craig Morton and Earl Morrall).
In Warner's third career Super Bowl appearance on February 1, the Cardinals lost the Super Bowl XLIII 27-23 to the Pittsburgh Steelers, leaving him with a 1-2 career record at the Super Bowl. Despite the defeat, Warner still managed to throw for 377 yards (the fourth highest total in Super Bowl history). He completed 72.1% of his operations, and has a rating of 112.3 quarterbacks. Warner has now recorded the top three single-games through total in the history of the Super Bowl, and joined Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, John Elway and Tom Brady as the only quarterbacks to make touchdown passes in three different. 2009 season
Warner announced his intention to return to the Cardinals for the 2009 season. The Cardinals offered him a two-year deal worth about $ 20 million, but Warner sought a contract that would pay him about $ 14 million a year and the two sides could not reach an agreement. On February 27, 2009, Warner became a free agent and resumed talks with the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers offer contracts to Warner worth more than offered by Cardinals. On March 4, Warner again signed a contract with the Cardinals with a two-year contract worth a total of $ 23 million, $ 4 million for each of the next two years, with a signing bonus of $ 15 million, and $ 19 million guaranteed. On November 1, 2009, Warner threw five career-high-equivalent interceptions during the loss to the Carolina Panthers. During the same game, Warner became the first quarterback in the NFL to throw over 14,000 yards with two different teams. On November 8th, Warner equalized his career with five touchdowns in one game during a 41-21 win over the Chicago Bears. This appearance caused Warner to be called both Offensive NFC Off of the Week and FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week. On November 15, 2009, Warner reached a career milestone with a 200th touchdown pass during a 31-20 victory against the Seattle Seahawks.
On 22 November 2009, during a 21-13 victory over Rams St. Louis, Warner left the game after suffering a concussion. Warner continued to suffer post-concussion symptoms and on November 29, 2009, he was disabled to the Tennessee Titans, breaking his successive streak in 41 straight games. On December 6, 2009, Warner returned to action when the Cardinals defeated Minnesota Vikings 30-17. Warner registered his fourth game in a row with a passer rating of 120 or better, making it only the second quarterback in NFL history to achieve that achievement. After his three-touchdown performance, Warner called both Offensive NFC Off of the Week and FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week.
On December 27, 2009, Warner became the only second midfielder in NFL history to throw 100 passing goals with two different teams (Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton is another), in a 31-10 Cardinals win over St. Louis Rams. On December 29, 2009, Warner was named an alternative quarterback for the NFC team at the Pro Bowl 2010.
postseason 2009
On 10 January 2010, Warner threw five goals and completed 29 of 33 passes for 379 yards in a 51-45 victory over the Green Bay Packers. This game has the highest combined total score in NFL playoff history. Warner became one of the very few quarterbacks in NFL history to throw more goals (5) than inkletsi (4) in the playoff game. Warner finished the game with a second-highest quarterback rating in NFL playoff history with a 154.1 rating. He also became the second quarterback to be thrown for five touchdowns in a playoff game twice, and the first to do so since the merging of the league. He is also the oldest player to throw that many goals pass in the playoff game (38 years, 202 days). Warner also tied the NFL record for consecutive playoff games with at least three goals passes (three games). Since the playoff game was his last home game in the playoffs during his career, he completed a perfect 7-0 in home games (4-0 with St. Louis; 3-0 with Arizona).
On January 16, Warner was injured in the first half trying to tackle the ball bearer after an interception on the way to a 45-14 loss in New Orleans in the Divisional NFC round. He returned for the second half, but surrendered to Matt Leinart in the middle of the fourth quarter. In 2012, the NFL found the Saints had put the bounty on Warner. Warner never accused the Saints of carrying out illegal attacks or ending his career, saying "It was a cruel attack, no question, but I also believe it was a legal blow."
Retirement
Warner officially announced his retirement from the National Football League in January 2010. He said he was looking forward to eventually becoming the right father for his seven children, and that he wanted to spend time with his wife. He talked about the impact and influence of his family, his former teammate, and God. He qualified for entry into the Hall of Fame after the 2014 season. In December 2014, Warner admitted he was considering getting out of retirement and returning to the Cardinals after the team lost Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton with injury.
Warner became an Iowa Barnstormers announcer for the 2011 Arena Football League season. In May 2010 he was inducted into the Arena Football Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Iowa Barnstormers Hall of Fame.
Warner was named the St Louis Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
On February 4, Warner was elected to Pro Football Hall of Fame in their Class 2017. On 5 August 2017 Kurt Warner was officially inducted into the NFL Pro Hall of Fame. She is the only person sworn in as Pro Football Hall of Fame and Arena Football Hall of Fame.

Childhood
Kurt Warner was born to Gene and Sue Warner. Warner's parents divorced when he was six years old. Kurt and his brother live with their mothers, including through short marriage and other divorce.
Kurt's father, Gene Warner, remarried a year after divorcing Kurt's mother. Warner's stepmother, Mimi Warner, also has a son named Matt (Post). The three boys soon formed a close relationship. Kurt graduated in 1989 from Regis High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he was a quarterback of the school's Class 3A football team.
Higher Education
Warner graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993 with a degree in communications.
Wedding
During college, Warner met his future wife, Brenda Carney Meoni; they married on October 11, 1997. Brenda is a former corporal of the United States Marine Corps. She is divorced with two children, one of whom has left her brain damaged and blind after being accidentally dropped by Brenda's ex-husband, leading to his sacking of the troubles of the Marines in 1990.
After Warner was cut from the Packers training camp in 1994, he got a night shift job as a nightly stock attendant at a local Hy-Vee grocery store, in addition to his job as an assistant coach in Northern Iowa. While Warner worked as an assistant coach, the couple lived in the basement of Brenda's parents house in Cedar Falls. Brenda's parents were killed in 1996 when their Mountain View, Arkansas home was destroyed by a tornado. Warner and Brenda married on October 11, 1997, at St. John's Church. John Lutheran America, the same place where service for Brenda's parents was held. Warner still hopes to get an NFL trial, but with the possibility that it looks bleak and long hours at Hy-Vee for minimum wage taking their toll, Warner started his career in the Champions League.
After marrying Brenda, Warner officially adopted her two children from her first marriage; they have added five of their own children.
Faith and Christian witness
Kurt and Brenda Warner are devout evangelical Christians. His faith first appeared on the national stage after the victory of the Super Bowl Rams, where he was named MVP game:

Warner usually attends charismatic churches, and believes that God healed him from the concussion he suffered in 2000. However, he distanced himself from the term "charismatic." In 2001, he told Charisma , "I'm just a Christian."
Broadcasting
In 2010, Warner joined the NFL Network as an analyst. She can be seen regularly in NFL Total Access, as well as in-studio on Sunday Night Football pregame event at NFL Network event, Thursday Night Kickoff Delivered by Sears. Warner also served as an analyst for NFL Network coverage of the 2010 Arena Football League playoffs.
