Maggie Gavin Garrity (born Peggy Sue Gavin) is a fictional character in the drama FX Rescue Me . The character is played by Tatum O'Neal.
Maggie is Tommy's sister and Johnny Gavin, who returned to his old neighborhood after he learned that their father, Michael, should have inherited money from his recently deceased wife. He is the family scapegoat, who hates him for turning their backs; in the meantime, he hates them deeply, engaging in self-destructive behavior just to hurt them. He started a relationship with Sean Garrity, a member of Tommy's fire crew, but secretly dated four other men behind Sean. When Sean finds out and confronts him about it, his firmness causes him to drop his other girlfriend for Sean. Both were engaged, though the relationship was a mess when Sean realized that he could not physically handle marrying her. Maggie and Sean return together during Johnny's funeral, and pay the $ 500 priest to marry them at the funeral. Then throughout the fourth season, he divorces Sean. Throughout the rest of the series, Maggie begins to go to AA meetings and achieve calm. At the end of the series, Maggie attends Lou's funeral and makes an eager speech thanking her for always treating her well.
Maggie seems to be addicted to pornography.
