Caring for the Christmas Tree

Caring for Christmas Trees [1] is a social company operated by Bethany Enterprises Ltd. Winner of the Fundraising Foundation The Scottish Community Fundraising Award 2006, Caring for the Christmas Tree was founded by the Scottish charity Bethany Christian Trust in 2005 to raise funds for their front-line services to help homeless people.

The Caring Christmas Tree Scheme is a pre-order model, where customers choose the size of the tree they like, the collection point and the date for the online collection.

The marketing campaign focuses on the concept that the cost of a Christmas tree is about the same cost to give someone shelter, food and support. Customers are encouraged to think ethically about the purchase and support of their Christmas Tree Caring for Christmas Trees as all the benefits of tree sales are aimed at helping the homeless. Caring for Christmas Trees is a freshly cut needle tree, growing in Scotland, grade 1, and is sourced from a managed and sustainable forest operated by members of the British Christmas Tree Growing Association ensuring high environmental standards.
