The Great Seal of State of Wyoming was adopted by the second legislature in 1893, and was revised by the sixteenth legislature in 1921.

Two dates in the Great Seal, 1869 and 1890, commemorate the territorial government organization and the entry of Wyoming to the Union. The wrapped figure in the middle holds the staff from where the banners flowed with words saying, "Equal Rights." This banner symbolizes the political status women enjoyed in Wyoming since the passing of the regional suffrage amendment in 1869. The male figures symbolize the livestock and mining industry of the country. The number 44 on the five-pointed star signifies that Wyoming is the accepted state of 44 in the Union. Above the pillar of the breaking lamp that burns the Light of Knowledge. The scrolls encircling the two pillars contain words, Oil, Mining, Livestock, and Wheat, four from Wyoming's main industries.

The state seals are displayed on the stained glass in the second ceiling of the Wyoming Chamber of Commons and the Wyoming Senate Chamber in the state capital. The seal is also incorporated into the design of a country flag, which clearly features a seal mounted on the American Bison silhouette.
