Adopted Daughter is a soap radio opera in the United States. It premiered in 1937 at WOW station in Omaha, Nebraska, and moved to the Midwest NBC regional network in 1939. It was broadcast there five times a week for two years. The event is sponsored by J. C. Penney. Billboard notes that the program is J.C. Penney "the first national radio use." After 26 weeks of success in WOW, the program will be performed in 16 stations via transcription.

Based on a series of plays called The Jangles , the story Adopted Daughter centers on Jerry Jangles, "a courageous young wife who fights for home and happiness."
